New Sign System for Atlantic City

The New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has unveiled a new color-coded sign system to direct drivers to various sections of Atlantic City’s Tourism District.

Getting around the Atlantic City Tourism District just got easier under a new color-coded sign system unveiled by the state Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

Under the new system, sections of the district will be marked with different colors and symbols including: Marina District – blue with a symbol of a sailboat; Inlet District – pink with a symbol of the Absecon Lighthouse; Midtown —orange with a silhouette of Boardwalk Hall and Chelsea District, formerly Downbeach—green with a beach design.

The signs will be posted on all roads and highways leading into the city, including Routes 30 and 40, the Atlantic City Expressway and the Garden State Parkway.

Signs to major attractions such as parks, casinos, garages and major shops, along with directional arrows leading to them, will also be placed within the city.
