New Silkroad OK’d for Jeju Casino

Hong Kong-based New Silkroad Culturaltainment Ltd. has announced that it will develop a second casino on the South Korean island of Jeju. New Silkroad already runs the MegaLuck casino on the island.

Hong Kong-based New Silkroad Culturaltainment Ltd. has announced that it will develop a second casino on the provincial island of Jeju, South Korea. New Silkroad already operates the MegaLuck Casino, a foreigners-only gaming hall based inside the island’s KAL Hotel.

According to GGRAsia, in 2017 New Silkroad took control of Macrolink Glorious Hill with a plan to developing a “large-scale casino.” The company recorded gross profits of HKD28.69 million (US$3.66 million) in the first half of 2018, up 193.7 percent year-on-year.
