The New Zealand Lottery has shut down retail sales for the duration of the Covid-19 lockdown, according to Lotto NZ CEO Chris Lyman.
“By operating online during the lockdown period we can continue to provide funding to New Zealand communities, many of which will need it now more than ever,” said Lyman,
The closures include Lotto NZ counters in pharmacies, gas stations and supermarkets, as these remain open for essential services only, reported iGamingBusiness.com.
Lotto NZ generates funding for 3,000 charitable, cultural and benevolent operations, with 100 percent of profits going to organizations like Sport New Zealand, the New Zealand Film Commission and Creative New Zealand.
