Global gaming technology company the Newgioco Group, which provides software solutions to regulated online and land-based sports betting and gaming operators, struck a deal with bookmaker Kevin Slicker to lead the company’s U.S. sports betting operations and business development plan.
Slicker has spent more than 30 years in the sports betting industry and serves as an advisor in the U.S. market. He is currently working with several U.S. tribes in preparation for the legalization of sports betting. In addition, he is the sports betting consultant for the Arena Football League, offering help on strategy, marketing, partnerships and potential new revenue streams.
As product consultant to Newgioco, Slicker will direct the American design and infrastructure of leading-edge ELYS betting platform and lead the Newgioco operations team build-out from his base in Oklahoma. He will work directly with company developers in Europe to create a unique online and land-based sports betting blend for state lottery, casino and route operators, as well as private operators that will combine the broad expertise and history of European roots with the nuances of American sports betting players.
