Sands Macao has been named “Best Resort in China” in the 14th Annual TTG China Travel Awards 2021. The Cotai complex has eight hotels, more than 150 restaurants, 850 retailers, immersive experiences such as SuperNature Macao and landmark attractions like a replica of the Eiffel Tower. ● Saracen Casino Resort in Arkansas is offering extra vacation days and a chance at a weekly $1,000 drawing for employees who receive a Covid-19 vaccine. “Work at Saracen, and you can win cash for being vaccinated,” CMO Carlton Saffa tweeted. ● A new art gallery at the Lac Vieux Desert Tribe’s Northern Waters Casino Resort in Michigan recently announced that its inaugural show, “Banksy Takes a Break,” will open to the public on September 3. The installation of works by the world-famous and famously elusive street artist is being curated by private collectors from around the globe. The Evel Knievel Museum is moving from Topeka, Kansas to the Las Vegas Arts District. Museum co-founder Mike Patterson said it “deserves to be in a tourism destination” and Las Vegas was the ideal spot, given the daredevil’s history in the city. ● A Water Dog restaurant location will open this week at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The fast-casual venue is led by Alexander Morris, former executive chef at Ocean Casino Resort. ● Macau’s mass Covid-19 testing blitz recently canvassed 55 percent of the population and showed that all 115,000 tests were negative. The deadline for testing was Saturday, August 7.
