The Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas has launched the Greatest Show on Earth, a new weekly industry night bash that features big-name talent in a circus-inspired environment. Locals get in free for the Sunday-night party. ● The launch of the Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach, a new hotel at the site of the Grand Ho Tram Strip casino resort in Vietnam, has been postponed to January 2022 due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. The 502-room hotel was originally scheduled to open in mid-July. ● Kangwon Land, the only casino resort in South Korea open to local gamblers, has increased the number of customers it can receive at any one time, from 1,800 to 2,300. Capacity restrictions are still in place as a Covid-19 countermeasure, but are being relaxed. Starting November 8, the casino might be permitted to up its same-time visitor capacity to 3,000, i.e., 50 percent of the 6,000-visitor pre-pandemic level. ● Singer Stevie Nicks serves as narrator of Station Casinos’ “From Vegas With Love” ad campaign, which coincides with the company’s 45th anniversary. Station Casinos COO Bob Finch said the commercials are “a relevant, light-hearted love letter to the people who live and stay in Las Vegas.” Station is known as a locals casino company. ● A live stage version of “America’s Got Talent” premiered at the 1,500-seat Luxor Theater in Las Vegas on November 4. Host Simon Cowell’s entertainment company Syco is the primary producer of the live show, along with Fremantle. ● The Morongo Band of Mission Indians in Southern California has donated $100,000 to the California Indian Nations College based in Palm Desert. The donation is part of the college’s “$3,000,000 Campaign” to help it become the first fully accredited tribal college in the state to offer two-year degrees. ● Caesars Sportsbook has announced a partnership with Peyton, Eli and Cooper Manning and the patriarch of the football family, Archie. They will appear together in advertisements and at live events for the sportsbook operator. Caesars Digital Co-President Chris Holdren said in a statement: “We’re welcoming the most acclaimed family in football history to be integrated holistically into the Caesars family. Archie, Peyton, Eli, and Cooper are extraordinary people who are champions of their communities and we’re honored to partner with such a prestigious group of individuals.” ●
