On December 31, Pennsylvania online gaming apps will be among the first in the nation that will require a two-factor authentication. The change, announced in June by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), will require that in 2023, multi-factor authentication needs to be engaged every 14 days, regardless of activity. Additionally, independent third parties will need to verify the security of these measures annually, and the reports from these security checks need to be submitted to PGCB. While this regulation is new, two-factor authentication has already been offered by most online casinos and sportsbooks. • The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) canceled licenses for eGaming Lab, M-Hub Gaming and Morpheus Games over the failure to pay their license fees. They have been ordered to still pay the outstanding fees but must take off any mention of the MGA on its websites. They have 30 days to appeal the decision.
