New York-based firm Gindi Capital has completed demolition of the former Hawaiian Marketplace retail center along the Las Vegas Strip near Harmon Avenue, making way for a new, 300,000 square-foot complex. According to documents filed to Clark County, the complex is expected to include dining options, retail shopping, bars and perhaps a hotel at some point, even though that was not included in the original proposal. The newly cleared plot is believed to be some of the best underdeveloped land left on the Strip. • Coljuegos, the gaming regulator of the Central American country of Columbia, has announced it has authorized instate win games for online gaming and established how they may be implemented. This is authorized by the Agreement 02 of March 30, 2021. The agreement does not authorize, “permanent betting mechanics (chance), traditional lottery, instant lottery (scratch), pre-printed lotto, online lotto or SUPER astro,” Coljuegos President Roger Carrillo Campo. The regulator has authorized instant win games such as Luckia Colombia, Meridian Gaming Colombia, Colbet, Servicios Distrired, Teclino, Corredor Empresarial, Games And Betting. • Officials at Morongo Casino, located in Cabazon, CA, announced they will construct a new high limit slot room that is scheduled to open in the Fall, offering an additional 170 slot machines to the existing room. The casino, about 90 minutes from Los Angeles, has also opened a new bingo hall and poker room.
