Liquor & Gaming NSW has confirmed that online bookmaker SportChamps has been fined for the sixth time in six years for improper inducements. According to the regulator, SportChamps was fined AU$17,500 in Downing Centre Local Court for posting online ads that included the phrases “Receive a free bet each day” and “Punt for free. Learn the game!” Under NSW law, operators are barred from offering inducements that encourage patrons to open an account or fund an existing one.
