Following an independent investigation, Crown Resorts CEO Ciarán Carruthers has been cleared of all wrongdoing in relation to previous allegations that he had improperly intervened to allow patrons who had been removed by security back onto the Crown Melbourne casino floor on two separate occasions. The claims, first reported by the Australian Financial Review, involved one instance where Carruthers allegedly allowed a patron to return even though the individual had been banned for a year for brining a minor into the casino, and another in which the CEO was said to have allowed an intoxicated patron to return after being told to leave by security. ● Singapore police recently arrested nine people and are investigating six others for buying and selling casino chips at Marina Bay Sands. An investigation at the resort resulted in the seizure of US$104,000 in cash and chips. The suspects were also involved in giving or receiving unlicensed services like foreign currency exchanges and remittances.
