Genting Berhad Chairman and CEO Lim Kok Thay ranked No. 9 on the Forbes Asia list of Malaysia’s richest people, with a US$2.2 billion fortune.The family of NagaCorp founder Chen Lip Keong, who died in December, came in at No. 18 with a combined wealth of US$1.11 billion. The family owns the NagaWorld integrated resort in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  ●  Hard Rock Atlantic City has announced that it will open new beachfront amenities as well as a new outdoor venue called “The Terrace” Memorial Day weekend. Resort guests will have access to the private beach, along with lounge areas, beverage service and other offerings. In a statement, resort President George Goldhoff said that getting the new amenities ready for the summer is “a top priority.”  ●  A poll commissioned by broadcaster LRT Televizija found that 80 percent of those surveyed support completely banning gaming advertisements in Lithuania, Focus Gaming News reported April 16.It surveyed 1,115 adults in Lithuania between March 15- 25. Baltijos Tyrimai, a market research company, conducted the poll, which included respondents aged 18 and over. Only 15 percent opposed banning the ads. When divided by gender, women were more in favor of the ban, by 86 percent as compared to 72 percent.Existing law severely restricts gaming promotions. Despite restrictions, the gaming sector’s revenue rose to €222.2 million last year,  more than double the revenue the year before.  ●  Manhattan Community Board 4, a panel of city officers formed under city law to advise on projects to improve the quality of life in its area, has rejected the proposal by Wynn Resorts and developer Related Companies to create a gaming resort in the Hudson Yards neighborhood on Manhattan’s West Side.New York’s gaming law calls for approval by the local community as a requirement for construction. While the law requires a six-member Community Advisory Committee, appointed by local, state and New York City officials, to sign off on any project before construction can begin, the opinions of the Community Boards carry significant weight. Community Board 4 reported it was “mystified” at the Wynn/Related bid because of its inclusion of a casino and office space, instead of the originally promised residential district to which the board agreed in 2009. That proposal called for six buildings featuring nearly 5,800 housing units on the former Western Railyards. By contrast, in its Wynn New York City proposal, Related includes just 1,507 units, including 324 classified as subsidized-affordable.
