The 368-room Macau Roosevelt Hotel opened at the end of June near the city’s Cotai district. The hotel, which will eventually house the Macau Jockey Club Casino, bills itself as “Macau’s first true party palace and chic retreat.” The property is run by the GCP Hospitality, a unit of Gaw Capital.  • With the expansion of the San Manuel Casino completed, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians in Southern California can claim bragging rights as have the most slots on the West Coast: 4,700.  That number came after the addition of 500 new slot machines. General Manager Loren Gill declared, “The additional 500 slots will add to the excitement on the gaming floor.  We’re proud to announce Aristocrat’s Tim McGraw slots are part of the additional 500.” • The Mill Casino-Hotel operated by the Coquille Indian Tribe near North Bend, Oregon is undergoing a renovation, including redesigning the Warehouse 101 lounge, which is seeing removal of walls so bar patrons can enjoy live music. The lodge, the original wing of the casino hotel, will also be refurbished, said Judy Duffy-Metcalf, chief executive officer at CEDCO, the tribal economic development arm. “It’s changed the vibe and energy on the floor of the casino,” she said.
