The Arizona Republic recently obtained records of patrons of casinos that have taken complaints to the Arizona Department of Gaming. It obtained the logs through a public records request.
The logs didn’t name names but did chronicle the complaints. The department is limited at what it can investigate at tribal casinos, which are protected by sovereignty.
In one complaint two customers alleged that slots at the Vee Quiva Hotel and Casino were rigged. They concluded this after losing more than $80,000.
Another customer complained that the casino staff took “financial advantage of spouse while intoxicated.”
A customer of the Desert Diamond Casinos Tucson alleged he was arrested after he complained about his winnings being paid out by hand.
