BET99 and BetMGM signed separate partnership deals in the hockey world recently.
BET99 announced they had signed a multi-year deal that makes them an official partner of the NHL BetMGM has signed a partnership agreement with the Nashville Predators.
The BET99 deal with the NHL will allow them to launch their new Free-to-Play program, called NHL PrePlay. The contest will have questions regarding NHL contests, such as who will win and who will score. Contestants will earn points for correct answers and whoever has the most points at the conclusion of the regular season will win a cash prize.
BET99 will also have signage on dasher boards during US games. There are also other exclusive marketing rights.
“This partnership is groundbreaking for Canadian hockey and sports fans,” said Jared Beber, CEO of BET99 in a release. “NHL PrePlay will amplify fan engagement and excitement around NHL games, especially the prizes, which include access to once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with BET99 and to promote BET99.ca and BET99.net on this unique and innovative Free-To-Play platform,” said Jason Jazayeri, NHL vice president, business development in a release. “This collaborative partnership has allowed us to create an entirely new Free-to-Play game that will focus on delivering a fun and immersive game to our fans, while also providing a level of access and prizing that we haven’t seen before in our sport.”
BetMGM’s deal with the Predators is their second with a professional sports team in Tennessee. They are also aligned with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.
The deal is similar to the agreement with the Titans. It is a multi-year deal and will allow the sportsbook to add signage into Bridgestone Arena, as well as a logo on the ice. They also plan to open a bar/restaurant in the arena. and

Nashville Predators President and CEO Sean Henry said the team was excited about the deal with BetMGM.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance SMASHVILLE and bring a better experience to the best fans in sports,” Henry said. “Integrating an industry leader like BetMGM into our building is a tremendous opportunity and we hope to continue to grow our partnership in the years to come.”
In April, BetMGM also became one of the NHL’s first two North American sports betting partners alongside FanDuel. The timing of the deal came in concert with the launch of the regulated sports betting market in Ontario, allowing the Vegas-based operator to target one of the largest potential gaming markets on the continent.
At the time of the announcement, Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, said: “Our existing partnership with the NHL accelerated our ability to reach hockey fans and has allowed us to deliver an enhanced hockey wagering product. Expanding our partnership with the NHL throughout North America, aligned with our recent launch in Ontario, puts us in a great position for long-term success in Canada.”
BetMGM’s current roster includes nine NFL teams, six MLB clubs, two NHL teams, and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.
They, along with FanDuel, are also partners with the NHL, giving them access to the Canadian market.
