UK-based gaming compliance and auditing company NMi Gaming has applied for Class II licensure and lodged a bank guarantee that will allow it to enter and serve companies in Romania, according to a news release.
According to its website, NMi has more than 40 years of experience serving the gaming and lottery sectors worldwide, providing compliance testing and auditing against regulatory standards.
“It is the unwritten compact we have with our customers that we won’t leave them high and dry when new markets emerge, and Romania is no different for us, ” said NMi Director Andrew Rosewarne.
According to a statement, NMi is confident that its regulatory team has a grasp of the requirements and is in a good position to proceed when the approvals are granted later this month. “The NGO made the decision to only accept companies on a solid financial footing and able to lodge a significant bond, and we are fortunate that NMi as a company is in the position where investment in new jurisdictions is not a problem,” the company stated.
