Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati recently began charging non-customers for parking during certain hours at the large parking garage accessible from Reading Road and Gilbert Avenue. Non-customers will be charged between 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on weekdays to park at the garage.
Kevin Kline, general manager of Horseshoe Cincinnati, said, “Over time, parking has become more difficult for our gaming guests due to downtown workers who are parking for free in our garage. To ensure sufficient parking for guests coming to the casino, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati will begin charging a daily parking rate.” Kline added Total Rewards cardholders will be permitted to park free any time. In addition, spaces will be reserved for county employees with a parking pass.
Casino officials originally planned to allow free parking at night and charge non-customers $1 per hour during the day. However, the public—particularly people who live and work in downtown Cincinnati—realized the parking lot offered a free, convenient parking option.
