North Carolina Approves Second Tribal Gaming Enterprise
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has signed a compact with the Catawba Indian Nation, based in South Carolina, to build a casino within a short drive of Charlotte. A former county commissioner Eddie Holbrook (l.) is accused of using his knowledge to buy land near the proposed casino.
