Each of the 15,779 members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina will receive $7,007 next month, the largest single-period per capita distribution in the tribe's history from its two casinos, including Harrah’s Cherokee (l.). The sum, $615 more than the December 2017 distribution, brings the calendar-year total to more than $12,000 per tribal member—also a first.
