Graton Resort and Casino this week will open a 5 million six-story, 200 room hotel, an accompaniment to the largest Indian casino in Northern California.
Graton opened three years ago, and was immediately a success, so successful that it crippled several area competitors. The addition of a hotel can only add to that appeal.
Rooms will have spectacular views of the mountains that divide Sonoma and Napa counties. The lobby will have a fountain and overhanging glass accents inspired by the Peninsula Hotel in Paris, according to General Manager Joe Hasson.
Hasson says the addition of a hotel will give guests the option is sticking around longer and spending more money on gaming—but also on on-site amenities such as massages and dining.
Rooms range from the standard 500 square feet up to 2,600 SF. The mirror TVs are unobtrusive until turned on.
The hotel also has a convention area that can be converted into show space seating up to 1,500. The first show there will be Patti LaBelle on November 12.
