The Oneida Nation of New York last week debuted a multimillion-dollar addition to its Yellow Brick Road Casino in in Chittenango, New York. The 19,400-square-foot entertainment venue includes a six-lane bowling alley along with an indoor Top Golf swing suite, pool tables, shuffleboard, sports betting, a bar and new dining choices.
There also are more than 65 additional slot machines and 20 LED TV screens, reported Syracuse.com. Other games visitors can play include dodge ball, shuffleboard, baseball pitching and soccer.
The project includes a new exterior facade, a new gaming floor with a contemporary industrial design and The Lounge with Caesars Sports, a sportsbook area.
The new venue plus recent renovations to the original casino have added 125 jobs—20 in the new entertainment wing, officials said. Yellow Brick Casino employs a total of about 250 people, officials said.
The new wing and other renovations at the casino cost about $10 million, officials said.
Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation CEO and Oneida Nation representative, said at the opening the entertainment wing represents “a new era of fun and excitement.”
He also said the exterior of the casino will be renovated in the spring. The casino in opened in 2015, and the expansion was announced in December.
The Oneida Nation also owns Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. The Oneidas also own and operate SavOn gas stations and several other businesses.
