NYX Gaming Closes Playboy Poker

New owner NYX Gaming Group has pulled the plug on Playboy Poker in the UK after reviewing its performance. The game had operated on the Ongame Poker Network.

Playboy Poker, operated by Cryptologic, has been shut down after a review of its business and performance by new owners NYX Gaming Group.

The poker room operated on the Ongame Poker Network. The site had had been re-launched in June 2013, following the acquisition of Cryptologic Gaming by Amaya Inc. In April, Amaya sold Cryptologic services to NYX Gaming Group as part of an £80 million acquisition package with Chartwell Technology.

Under original owners Cryptologic, Playboy Casino and Poker brands gained little traction within the competitive UK online gambling market.
