NZ Reappoints Gambling Commissioners

The government of New Zealand has announced the reappointments of Graeme Reeves (l.) as chief gambling commissioner and Wendie Harvey and Russell Bell as fellow commissioners.

Internal Affairs Minister Peter Dunne of New Zealand has announced that three members of the country’s Gambling Commission have been reappointed: Graeme Reeves, who has been named chief gambling commissioner, and Wendie Harvey and Russell Bell, who will continue in their roles as fellow commissioners.

Reeves is a lawyer experienced in commercial and property law and employment issues. He was a director of the Airways Corp. of New Zealand Ltd. and has served as a trustee of the Wellington Community Trust and director of New Zealand Post Ltd.

Harvey is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and has significant business and commercial governance experience, according to Reeves. She previously practiced in commercial and employment law.

Bell is an accountant, auditor and management consultant with experience in the gambling sector.

They join fellow commissioners Lisa Hansen of Wellington and Donna Matahaere-Atariki of Dunedin.
