O’Connel, Fletton Leaving Tatts Group

Australian wagering company Tatts Group announced two upcoming departures. Chief Financial Officer Neale O'Connel will leave in November to pursue an opportunity in a non-related industry. Chief Operating Officer Barrie Fletton will retire in November following a 24-year career at Tatts Group.

Tatts Group, the Australian wagering firm, announced Chief Financial Officer Neale O’Connel and Chief Operating Officer of Wagering Barrie Fletton are leaving the company, according to an Australian Stock Exchange filing.

O’Connell said he is leaving his post of three years to return to Melbourne in order to “pursue an opportunity in a non-related industry.” Tatts Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Robbie Cooke said, “It is disappointing to see Neale leave as he has been a key member of my executive team over the last three years, however I understand completely the attraction of returning to Melbourne with his family. We are fortune, thanks in no small way to Neale’s efforts, to have a very strong and capable finance team in place coupled with five months to identify a successor to ensure a seamless transition.”

Fletton will retire in November, ending a 24-year career at Tatts Group. He will be replaced by wagering executive Brendan Parnell. Most recently worked for Tabcorp as managing director international, chief operating officer, media and international.
