Marketing software specialists OfferCraft is developing promotional games for Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Delaware to help the property bolster its base of regular players.
The new games, offering food, shopping vouchers, casino credits and other benefits, were distributed in two mailings to consumers in nine states: the first invited customers who hadn’t been to the property in at least a year to come back; the second targeted more recent customers.
The offers leveraged a software platform that blends behavioral economics, artificial intelligence and psychology.
Dover Downs saw average spending from previously inactive customers rise by 831 percent compared to two prior campaigns that didn’t involve OfferCraft, the company said. The games also resulted in a fourfold increase in new e-mails collected versus previous efforts, OfferCraft said.
Meanwhile, OfferCraft and the SLS Las Vegasare offering casino patrons the opportunity to win free slot play, dining discounts, and other prizes, rather than simply giving them away, to encourage patrons to redeem more of their gaming rewards certificates and generate buzz and excitement among casino patrons.
