September set a new record for the casinos and racinos in Ohio. The record extends to table games and slots. Overall 11 locations took in $191.9 million.

When it came to numbers, September proved to be a great introduction to fall in Ohio. Based on reports from the Ohio Lottery and Casino Control Commission, the casinos and racinos in the state set a record for table game and slots revenue.

The 11 venues across the state took in $191.9 million in gambling revenue after paying winners. The results increased 1.7 percent from the prior record in September 2022.

The figures do not include sports betting or horse racing.

Business in Greater Cleveland rose thanks to gains at the two JACK properties, despite a year-over-year decrease at MGM Northfield Park.

JACK Cleveland Casino had $21.96 million in gambling revenue, up ever so slightly from $21.94 million in September, 2022.

Figures for JACK Thistledown Racino rose 3.6 percent with $15.4 million compared to $14.9 million a year earlier, according to Cleveland.com.

And revenue at MGM Northfield Park was $22.8 million, down 3.6 percent from September 2020.

Ohio’s four casinos offer both table games and a wide variety of slots.

The seven racinos, regulated by the Lottery Commission, do not have table games and are permitted to offer only chance-based games in their slots, known as video lottery terminals, or VLTs.
