Ohio Gaming Halls Post Record Revenue

Last year was a record-breaker for Ohio's 11 gambling venues, which posted a total of $1.94 billion in revenue. The state's casinos generated $851 million, up 1.6 percent over 2018, and racinos produced $1.1 billion, or $1.55.8 million per property, a 6.2 percent increase. Ohio Gaming Halls Post Record Revenue

The Ohio Casino Control Commission recently announced total revenue in 2019 from the state’s 11 casinos and racinos was $1.94 billion—a new record since the first casino opened in Ohio in May 2012.

The previous record was set in 2013 with $821.3 million. Casinos produced $851 million, up 1.6 percent over 2018, and racinos produced $1.1 billion, or $155.8 million per property, up 6.2 percent.

MGM Northfield Park racino led the pack with revenue of $253.6 million, followed by Hollywood Casino Columbus, with $229.2 million, and JACK Cleveland Casino, with $212.1 million. Miami Valley Gaming in Monroe posted $16.1 million in revenue, compared to $14.9 million in 2018. And Hollywood Dayton had $10.2 million in revenue in 2019, up from $10.1 million in 2018, according to state figures.
