A groundbreaking ceremony recently was held for the $69.8 million Lake Eufaula Casino and Hotel in Eufaula, Oklahoma, owned by the Muscogee Nation. Officials said the 78,000-square-foot property will be completed in November 2025, replacing the Creek Nation Casino. Current employees will move to the new facility and 50 full-time positions will be added.

Officials said the venue will offer a 20,500-square-foot casino with 500 gaming machines and a Player’s Club, plus a 3-story, 46-room hotel with a fitness center, 90-seat restaurant and parking for more than 600 vehicles, located off Highway 69.

According to MVSKOKE Media, MCN Principal Chief David Hill said, “This right here is a prime location, easy access off the highway. It’s gonna attract a lot of people.”

Hill added, “This project is more than just a new business venture. It is a testament to our commitment to growing our economic development capacity, expanding cultural tourism, creating jobs and enhancing the quality of life for our citizens.”

Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises Chief Executive Officer Pat Crofts noted the project hit some unanticipated setbacks over the years. He said, “We’ve been working on a casino at Lake Eufaula for many years. We had some delays, floods, COVID. It’s just really heartening that we’re finally at the point where we’re breaking ground and starting on the project.”
