OKTO Brings Digital Payment Option to EU Casinos

The European Casino Association represents 900 casinos across 28 European countries. That’s a lot of gaming power. So, kudos to OKTO for its agreement with the association. A payment provider, OKTO promises to drive innovation and digitalization within the ECA.

Under the partnership, OKTO will offer advice and leadership to allow casino members to enter the realm of digital payments with their customers, according to SBCNews

“An essential part of the ECA’s role is to address key innovations as they relate to casino operations. The ECA serves as an information network for our members as we work closely with E.U. institutions upon initiatives that could potentially impact the European land-based casino sector,” said Association Secretary General, Hermann Pamminger.

“The partnership will help operators respond to requirements set out by industry regulators and, most importantly, how they relate to the genuine and effective responsible gambling frameworks implemented by duly licensed operators.”

OKTO has also partnered with two Spanish focused operators: Codere and Tecnausa. With Codere, for example, the company implemented the OKTO Wallet.

“Digital payments are one of the fastest developing sectors within the gambling ecosystem, as such, there is a constant requirement and demand for innovative companies to deliver solutions that meet the needs of regulators, merchants, and consumers,” said OKTO Chief Commercial Officer, Simon Dorsen. “This partnership demonstrates OKTO’s desire to collaborate with industry experts to drive innovation and bring the best payment experiences to users.”
