OLG Makes Quarterly Payments

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. last week made third quarter payments to two cities that host OLG casinos. They are Thunder Bay and Niagara Falls.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. last week issued a third quarterly non-tax gaming revenue payment of 0,180 to the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada for the OLG Casino Thunder Bar, which has operated in the city since August 2000. The city uses the quarterly payments for infrastructure and to support community and non-profit organizations. At the provincial level, funds raised by the casino go for health care and education.

It made a 3rd quarterly payment of $5.6 million to the City of Niagara Falls, for hosting the Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino. The city also uses its payments for infrastructure, programs and services. The casinos have been operating in the city since 1996.
