It’s the kind of raise you don’t hear much about. But culinary positions at the casinos under the ownership of Oneida Nation Enterprises got a raise to $20 an hour.

Entry-level cooks at the four casino hotels under the banner of Oneida Nation Enterprises will see $3 an hour more in their paychecks, raising salaries to $20 an hour.

What amounts to a 17 percent increase will bring full time cooks $40,000 a year salary, along with a health care plan, (401)k and eligible for employee housing. New culinary hires are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The company boasts 30 restaurants and dining opportunities, according to Indian Gaming.

Oneida also increased starting pay for dishwashers to $18.50 an hour.

Oneida Nation Enterprises is also hiring cashiers, table games dealers, accountants, concert entertainment technicians, beverage servers, carpenters, HVAC technicians, plumbers, golf & grounds, and sportsbook writers.
