Former Macau junket operator Century Entertainment International Holdings Ltd. has announced a new five-year deal to operate eight mass-market gaming tables at a casino in Dara Sakor, Cambodia, a massive tourism resort under construction in Koh Kong Province. As reported by the Cambodia Daily, the company inked the agreement with its own chairman and CEO, Ng Man Sun, who owns the new casino.

Per the deal, Century Entertainment will be entitled to 100 percent of all winnings and also absorb any and all losses. The casino includes 7,000 square meters (75,000 square feet) of gaming floor, 20 mass tables, 25 VIP tables and 50 electronic gaming machines.

Century Entertainment said it “sees attractive potential in the gaming market in Dara Sakor, which is one of the most rapidly developing districts in Cambodia and is a well-known tourism destination in Southeast Asia.

“The New Casino at Dara Sakor is planned to be surrounded by luxury hotel resorts and a golf course. In addition, the new international airport close to the New Casino could also help attract visitors.”

It cited a “preliminary valuation … by an independent valuer” which assessed the market value of the deal as approximately HK$63.6 million (US$8.1 million).

The New Casino was previously located in the coastal casino hub of Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk Province, but moved to the jungle-based Chinese investment zone during the Covid-19 pandemic.
