Online Gambling Revenue Down in France

Online gambling Revenue was down slightly in France for 2013, but online poker revenue was down 18 percent.

French regulator ARJEL announced that the regulated online gambling market in France generated 2 million of tax revenue in 2013, a slight decrease from 2012.

Sports betting generated €79 million with €86 million generated by online poker and €160 million by horse racing. Increases in sports betting offset losses in online poker and horse racing.

For online poker, cash game bets were down 18 percent for 2013 to €5.055 billion. Horse-racing betting decreased 1 percent for the year to €1.111 billion.
