The opening date of the Shorelines Casino Peterborough in Ontario has not been announced by the developer, Great Canadian Building Corp. although it is expected soon.
The website says late summer or early fall. When finished it should employ about 300. Some will be transferred from Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs, but the rest will be new hires. Some of the new positions include card dealers, table game supervisors, bartenders, food and beverage servers, cooks etc.
Building began last September. A hotel is being constructed next to the casino. It is expected to open next May. The general manager, Bryan Buchanan, told the Examiner “No official date has been determined for the opening of Shorelines Casino Peterborough, but we are hopeful that the date will be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.”
