Ontario Lottery to Launch iGaming Site

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is launching a new online gaming site, joining other Canadian lotteries in offering interactive casino games.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is set to have a soft launch of its new online gaming website PlayOLG. At first, it will be open to eligible members of OLG’s Winner’s Circle Rewards program before being made available to legal-aged players in Ontario.

The new website will see OLG join British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec and all of the Atlantic Provinces in offering a provincially registered internet gaming service. Players in Ontario will be able to access a range of interactive casino-style games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat as well as a range of slots.

In addition, players will be able to use the site to purchase Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max tickets, as well as Encore.

As part of OLG’s responsible gambling commitment, the website will also have a number of other features designed to safeguard players. These features include no anonymous play, casino loss limits, lottery ticket purchase limits, self-exclusion, full account history, player assessments and risk profiles.

OLG also noted that the new PlayOLG service will provide more money to the government of Ontario for hospitals and other government priorities.
