The $49 million Shorelines Casino Peterborough has opened in Ontario with 500 slots, 22 gaming tables, a buffet that seats 230 and a 40-seat a la carte eatery, the Windward Restaurant and Lounge. The casino is operated by Great Canadian Gaming Corp. out of British Columbia.
Construction took about 13 months Open 24-7, the casino has the latest high tech slots and live dealer table games. It employs about 300, more than half of who are new. The Peterborough Visitors’ Centre was demolished and relocated further downtown several months ago to make way for casino parking.
Next to the casino Roshan Holdings is constructing a 100-room Hampton Inn and Suites that will open next May.
