Oregon Sports Betting Launch: Second Week of October

The Oregon Lottery is looking at releasing its Scoreboard online sports betting app the second week in October. The release will come after weeks of delays due to testing the e-commerce aspects to ensure that betting and receiving payouts happens.

After weeks of delays past the originally hoped-for launch to coincide with the beginning of the NFL season, the Oregon Lottery is now aiming to release Scoreboard, its new online sports betting app, the second week of October.

Using the app or through the Lottery’s website, players anywhere in the state will be able to place wagers on professional sports, including NFL, basketball, baseball, soccer, golf and NASCAR.

Chuck Baumann of the Oregon Lottery told OPB that the rollout of the app has taken so long due to testing. “This is the first time that the lottery has entered into an e-commerce game,” he said. “This will be the first time we’ve offered a game — an Oregon lottery game — available online.”

The platform has been created. They are still testing player accounts to ensure that betting and receiving payouts happens smoothly and accurately.
