The Mill Casino in North Bend, Oregon, has launched sports betting, becoming the first outlet in the state’s south coastal region to offer sports wagering.
“It’s exciting because we’re only one of two properties in Oregon that offer (sports betting), and then it’s also another reason for our guests to come to visit us,” said Katherine Hoppe, tourism and content manager for the casino, told local news channel KCBY. “So they have a lot of choices in their entertainment, but hopefully we are just giving them one more reason to come visit us.”
Bettors can wager at kiosks around the casino, with a minimum bet of $2 and a maximum of $500.
“You’ll see all the odds, so what you will want to do is determine whether the odds are something that you’re comfortable with and how would you like to bet,” said Hoppe. “When you’re ready and made your decisions you just walk up to the kiosk, place your bet choose your teams, they will give you a ticket and then you can come into Wearhouse 101 and see how you did.”
An international sportsbook company, BetGenius, will be setting the odds for the games. Players can bet on college and professional sports and even the Olympics, everything from ballgames to motorsports.
