Ortiz Recognized at G2E

Ortiz Gaming was recognized as one of the top suppliers of the year in an awards ceremony held at the Global Gaming Expo on September 26.

Ortiz Gaming, a multinational manufacturer of video bingo content for land-based, social and online gaming, was recognized as one of the best land-based suppliers in the business at the Global Gaming Expo on September 26.

The company was short-listed as one of the top 109 for the Land-Based Supplier of the Year Award, which was granted to International Game Technology. “The nomination reinforced the work that Ortiz Gaming has done since its inception,” said a statement from the company. “The G2E floor opened the following day, and it was clear the footprint Ortiz Gaming has internationally.”

Ortiz Gaming displayed products for every gaming market. Products were displayed in the common English and Spanish, but included Chinese games from an upcoming play-for-fun launch with a major Chinese gaming company, as well as an entire area dedicated to products in Portuguese for the soon-to-come Brazilian Market.

“Everything on the floor was new, we are so very proud to be able to show all of our innovations as well as to see the global reception,” stated Maurilio Silva, president of Ortiz Gaming. “This show is the beginning of a new era.”

New products on display included the O-Circle Cabinet with new 4K resolution and a golden Ortiz motherboard, the O-Platform turn-key Online Gaming Platform, expanded iContent library and more. According the company, the star of the show was a simple transition in the display of video bingo content, coined the “New Concept.”

‘As technology progresses and screens get bigger, the industry has made the games bigger or ‘stretched’ to use the maximum area in the screen,” the statement said. “For slot games, this has proven successful, as there is a correlation between max use of the screen and increased time-in-chair and revenue, but this relation stops with reel-style games. Video bingo screens do not have the same increase and effect on player behavior, and a simple idea was born—‘don’t fit the screen, fit the player.’ Applying a new ergonomic look to all of their games, Ortiz Gaming introduced the New Concept.”

“We expect this layout to become industry standard, as we are honored to yet again revolutionized the video bingo industry,” said Alejandro Ortiz, chairman and founder of Ortiz Gaming.
