There’s been a change of command at the SLS Las Vegas, which opened in August. The owners of the 5 million Strip resort have announced that former president Rob Oseland has left the resort, and will be replaced by Scott Kreeger, most recently the chief operating officer of Revel in Atlantic City.??
Oseland joined SLS in 2012, and oversaw its development during an 18-month renovation. The glitzy new resort was built around the legendary Sahara casino hotel. He will remain with the property and assist Kreeger through the end of the year, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.??
“SLS will have a transformative impact on Las Vegas and the business overall,” said Kreeger. “I look forward to working alongside one of our industry’s greats in Rob through the transition.”??
Oseland is joining former Wynn Las Vegas President Andrew Pascal to develop a resort at the former New Frontier on the Las Vegas Strip. The development partnership also includes Australian billionaire James Packer and investment firm Oaktree Capital Management.??
“Working with Andrew on his new project enables me to further my passion for developing and operating unique resort destinations,” Oseland said.
??The 1,620-room SLS Las Vegas is owned by Stockbridge Real Estate and Los Angeles-based SBE Entertainment, owned by Sam Nazarian. It has a 56,000-square-foot casino with almost 800 slot machines, 74 table games and a William Hill sports book.??
Kreeger’s career includes stints at MGM Mirage and Station Casinos in Vegas. He was the first general manager of Station Casinos’ Red Rock Resort.
??“Scott is a proven talent with deep roots in the Las Vegas community and his addition to the team is a milestone for SLS Las Vegas,” Stockbridge Capital Executive Managing Director Terry Fancher said in a statement.??
SBE Entertainment CEO Sam Nazarian called Kreeger “an extremely gifted leader.”
