Paddy Power Betfair will use digital security firm Balabit’s ‘Shell Control Box’ system to protect consumer data and ensure compliance with regulatory rules, the company announced.
The SCB system allows the company to monitor ongoing development of its platforms, ensuring that customer data is protected. Balabit solution provides comprehensive session recording to provide full assurance that all developers’ activities are monitored, accountable and traceable, the company said in a press release.
Betfair has used Balabit’s monitoring solutions prior to the merger with Paddy Power and the company has chosen to implement the systems across its entire organization, the release said.
According to the release, the Balabit solution audits access to its Linux servers as well as to some Windows systems. Users can connect to the production servers only through SCB and after they are granted access to the server, SCB monitors, and records all their activities in a tamper-proof way.
