Paddy Power First to Partner with Spotlight’s Content

Paddy Power is the first bookmaker to unveil Spotlight Sports’ statistical insights and pre-match tipping content throughout the retail U.K. and Ireland market. The sportsbook will offer interactive short-form tips based on statistical analysis and expert opinions, including those of Mark Langdon and Steve Palmer.

The service will be applied over 20 sports giving customers insight into how the experts think about how a game will play out match by match and with specific events, according to SBCNews.

The system will be available in 450 Paddy Power stores, according to Gambling Insider.

“This is a big step for us as a business. For a very long time we’ve worked closely with Paddy Power delivering Racing Post horse racing and greyhound content in-store and online. However, this is our first steps into sport across full retail estate,” said Alan Pepperell, Spotlight Sports Group Retail Director.

The new service comes as sportsbooks have struggled in retail settings, given the challenges of Covid-19, said Steven Dalton, Head of Retail Product Management at Paddy Power. “We’re continually trying to improve the customer experience and we expect that by introducing more information and independent tipping content our customers will have a more enjoyable retail experience.”
