Gaming operator Paf, based in the Åland Islands region of Finland, will serve as lead technology partner for Grand Casino Luzern in its online casino venture. Grand Casino Luzern’s new online property mycasino.ch will join the market this summer.
“We are very pleased that Grand Casino Luzern has chosen us as a partner,” said Paf CEO Christer Fahlstedt. “There is a strong mutual understanding behind the collaboration and I am convinced that together we will succeed well in Switzerland—where only four online gaming licenses have been distributed to date.”
Moving to launch mycasino.ch, Grand Casino Luzern and Paf will compete in the initial Swiss online casino market against Casino Baden’s Jackpots.ch brand, with Casino Davos partnering with Belgium Ardent Group, according to SBC News. Meanwhile, Swiss Casinos Pfäffikon is expected to launch an online casino vertical in partnership with FTSE250 gambling group Playtech Plc.
“Paf will be our strategic know-how partner with the right technology. They have been pioneers in online gaming and we believe that Paf can give us the experience and innovation needed to establish an online casino quickly in the Swiss market,” said Grand Casino Luzern CEO Wolfgang Bliem. “Paf has a long history of stable ownership and they are also well known for their responsible gaming, which makes them an excellent partner for us.”
