10-year minimum commitment
The Philippine gaming regulator has issued a tender for administrators to run the country’s Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator licenses.
“In carrying out the project, PAGCOR requires the engagement of the services of an experienced and qualified consultant that possesses the requisite knowledge, expertise and background, specifically in the fields of development, operation and management,” said the regulatory body in a statement.
The selected bidder will be required to develop an intermediation platform or audit program in accordance with POGO requirements and will must commit to operate, maintain and manage the system for 10 years, reported the Asia Gaming Brief.
PAGCOR has said it will invest P6 billion (US$121.1 million) per year for 10 years for the development and maintenance of the system, which is expected to launch sometime this year 2017. The consultant will be paid 10 percent of net revenue earned by PAGCOR from POGO every quarter from the commencement date of the project. There has been interest from Malta and Isle of Man for the contract, AGB reported.
