Panama Casinos Can Suspend Payments

Panama casino operators just caught a break from lawmakers, who approved legislation allowing them to delay the payment of services amid the Covid-19 shutdown.

Panama Casinos Can Suspend Payments

Casino operators in Panama may delay paying their bills for a time, thanks to a law passed last week by the National Assembly of Panama.

The legal act delays the payment of services, including those for internet, phone and electric, until at least July. The extension is available to self-employed workers, hospitality owners, small businesses, families earning less than $2,000 per month and others.

According to CDC Gaming Reports, the plan was approved in the Panamanian parliament. “In our goal to be helpful with Panamanians, the Law 295 includes the suspension of payment of public services, without implying any reduction on the quality or limitation, for all citizens,” stated the National Assembly on social media.
