Paragon Casino Resort Announcers ‘Refresh’

Paragon Casino Resort (l.) in Marksville, Louisiana is undergoing a "refresh" to update the property and enhance the customer experience, officials said. Owned by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe and managed by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, the "refresh" includes new staff uniforms, a new Mississippi River-themed carpet throughout the casino, new slots and redesigned billboards.

Officials at the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe, owners of the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, Louisiana, along with management partner Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, recently announced a “refresh,” to update the facility, which opened in 1994, and improve the customer experience. Paragon General Manager Michael Hamilton said, “Through the refresh, we are working to provide an enhanced experience for Paragon visitors. Patrons can still expect a multifaceted, Louisiana-style entertainment experience, with the addition of some new, exciting touches.”

The improvements include new staff uniforms, a new carpet with a Mississippi River theme throughout the gaming floor, additional slot machines and redesigned billboards.

Paragon also features a 500-room hotel, full-service spa/salon, indoor tropical pool with a swim-up bar and an 18-hole golf course with a pro-shop and grillroom.

Inside the Atrium are three retail shops and a three-screen cinema. Visitors can safely observe alligators, turtles and a variety of fish in the “bayou” running through the area. The Atrium Bar is the region’s only ice bar.

In addition, the resort offers more than 75,000 square feet of meeting space,

seven restaurants and a daiquiri bar. The full-service RV resort has 205 slips and 30 cabins. For children and families, the facility provides the Kids Quest child care activity center and the Cyber Quest arcade.

Paragon’s Mari Showroom brings in live concerts featuring regional favorites and top performers. Upcoming concerts include Trace Adkins on October 27 and 98 Degrees on December 2.

Hamilton stated, “The Paragon has been an economic driver in Avoyelles Parish for 22 years, providing jobs and entertainment to the community. We are excited to unveil the new Paragon brand to patrons and visitors and ask them to take a new look at all the casino and resort has to offer. It’s never been a better time to come over and take a fresh look.”

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment entered into an agreement with the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe in May 2016 to provide gaming, hospitality and entertainment consulting services for the Paragon.
