Pariplay Enters Swedish Market With Svenska Spel

Online gaming platform and content developer Pariplay has entered the Swedish market in partnership with national operator Svenska Spel. Pariplay will run Svenska Spel’s Sport & Casino subsidiary.

Gibraltar-based online gaming platform and content developer Pariplay Ltd. has entered the Swedish market under a new partnership with national operator Svenska Spel. Pariplay will run Svenska Spel’s Sport & Casino subsidiary, which competes against private operators online.

“Partnering with Svenska Spel cements our presence in the region and highlights our drive for forward-thinking innovation,” said Pariplay Commercial and Marketing Director Richard Mintz. “This aligns with our strategic goals for 2019, which are focused on Pariplay continuing to collaborate with the leading operators in the industry’s biggest regulated markets.”

Jonas Nygren, vice president of casino at Svenska Spel, added: “Having already enjoyed success across many other regulated markets, we feel that Pariplay’s diverse collection of games will complement our existing product offering and give Sweden’s players even more exciting gaming experiences.”

Svenska Spel remains the leading gaming operator in Sweden, despite new competition in the market. In the first three months of 2019, Svenska Spel generated US$146.8 million from the state lottery and land-based gaming and $25 million from land-based casino operations in the country.

The new gaming content will include Pariplay’s Lucky Vegas slot game, which launched in May. Svenska Spel has exclusive rights to the new game for through June 12.
