Online poker operator Partypoker its crackdown on fraudulent bot accounts which employ computer AI in poker game. According to the company, 57 accounts have been shut down through October across its two main dot-com (50) and European dot-EU (seven) networks.
The closures led to the seizure of $13,976 from the global dot-com pool, with a further €1,490 confiscated from the site’s ring-fenced dot-EU license. The poker room can confirm that the full amount has now been redistributed to all affected players.
Partypoker encourages players to continue reporting all suspicious activity at its tables, by emailing reports@partypoker.com. The operator promises to investigate all incidents reported.
The site continues to invest in resources aimed at safeguarding the safety of its players, spearheaded by a specialist Poker Fraud Team comprising a collection of former poker professionals whose duty is to investigate suspicious activity and aid Partypoker in ridding the site of unscrupulous accounts.
The site pledges to update players on the account closures made every month.
