PartyPoker has named Twitch veteran Kevin Martin to Team Online.
The team is part of a wider company strategy to focus on streaming quality and engaging content across PartyPoker’s main Twitch channel.
According to a press release, Martin started out as a radio presenter before turning his hand to professional poker full time in 2014. Barely a year later Martin discovered the Twitch platform, proving to be the launch pad for his poker journey.
Martin has since gone on to amass a dedicated following that now stands over 80,000. Martin joins Matt Staples, Patrick Tardif, Travis Darroch and Ryan Schoonbaert on the team.
Plans also include a new PartyPoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site’s virtual cash game tables, streamed live, the release said.
“I’m really pleased to be joining team PartyPoker,” Martin said in the release. “It’s a brand that is doing some impressive things while keeping the player the priority. I’m ready to jump in head-first. It’s going to be an amazing year on Twitch.”
