On June 13, Governor Alberto Weretilneck of Río Negro Province in Patagonian Argentina presided over the groundbreaking of a new large-scale casino and entertainment complex in the capital city of Viedma.
The $800 million complex will open in late 2022 or early 2023 as part of the Club Sol de Mayo sports club. It will include a 54-room hotel, a food court, a convention center, a shopping center and a casino. Local operator Crown was granted a 10-year extension of its licenses for operations in Las Grutas, El Cóndor, Viedma, Cipolletti, Roca, Choele Choel and Catriel.
