The $285 million expansion by Pechanga Resort & Casino, which began in 2015, is expected to be completed by December 22.
A second 14-story hotel tower will have two buildings connected to form a T. It will have 568 rooms, just about doubling the resort’s offerings. The rooms will have floor to ceiling windows, large screen televisions and some will offer views of a garden-like roof on the new events center that will have trees, plants and paths.
A new 68,000 square foot building, the Pechanga Summit will house conference and convention space. The concert center, at 40,000 SF will be twice as large as the existing ballroom and can be divided into smaller spaces. It will be able to house everything from comedy acts to MMA combat.
The existing 11 restaurants will be joined by two more: the Lobby Bar and the Pool Bar & Grill.
The resort has added a 4.5-acre pool complex with three large pools and several spas. The largest pool will feature a swim up “Pool Bar & Grill” and will be surrounded by private cabanas that are served by a massage service. Adjacent to the pool area will be the 26,000 SF Spa Pechanga with 17 treatment rooms.
